Scanner Policy
The purpose of the scanner is to provide the J.C. Clegg Public Library patrons to input
personal documentation into data they are developing on a library computer.
Library personnel will provide instruction on the operation of the scanner only. Library
personnel will not assist in editing any data put into a computer via the scanner. This
includes but is not limited to placement of imported data, cropping, picture enhancement,
etc.
The library will not provide photosensitive paper for printing of pictures. The library
will only provide the usual paper for printing documentation from a computer. Patrons may
provide their own photosensitive paper if they desire. However to cover the cost of ink
there will be a charge of $0.15 for black and white printing and $1.00 for printing in
color. These fees apply regardless of whose paper is used.
To prevent a virus from being introduced into a library computer, only new floppy disks
may be used when downloading data from a computer. These new disks must be
purchased from library personnel. Under no circumstances will patrons be allowed to use
any personal disks on library computers.
All disks will be sold at the same cost that the library purchases them.
